I am a mining engineer and being such, I had my share of jobs in several places in the course of my career. And of those places I worked on was in one of the mines in Libby, Montana until the mine’s operations were shut down when it was found contaminated with asbestos but it was too late for me. I had been working there for a good 15 years although I did not find out about my cancer until 20 years after I left the mines. Now I have mesothelioma and the only cause I can think of is that years I had working with that vermiculite mine. Maybe at the back of my mind I had an inkling that something like this could happen to me because of that so much exposure but I refused to believe that it can really happen to me. But when I was diagnosed, I wasn’t really surprised but I am   not taking this sitting down too. Somebody has to take responsibility to what happened to me. I did not work there to expose myself and get sick. But I know too that all these I cannot do by myself. Since I was diagnosed, I started looking around for the best lawyer to represent for me. I don’t need just any lawyer but someone very familiar with lawsuits like mine. I am glad it is them I found because my lawyer is really good. Now we are preparing everything and soon we will know what will happen.
